SHALINA JOY, STAR OF DIY NETWORK'S "AMERICAN REHAB: RESTORING VICTORIA"

American Rehab is a franchise television series that broadcasts on the DIY Network. Each franchise is filmed in a different city/state across the United States.

 

Challenge: 

Despite the show’s popularity, our firm was tasked to properly refresh the East Coast franchise of the 30 minute show to drive viewership awareness by highlighting the Forest Hill section of Newark NJ, which is multifaceted with rich, abundant culture.

 

Insight:  ​

Social listening unlocked a torrent of women having genuine love for remodeling and being a part of the remodeling lifestyle.

Solution:  

Develop a series of long–term PR awareness initiatives that increase visibility that steadily brand Shalina Joy and the American Rehab franchise. By capitalizing on consumers behavior of watching TV while on the phone, we devised a branding component where we positioned Shalina Joy as the "go to" expert by developing quick/easy DIY home project videos on Shalina’s YouTube channel and her Facebook page.

 

Results: 

 • Placements include Kontrol Magazine, News NJ 12, Huffington Post and a host of other outlets
